Cogniterm to showcase the DocuRAG Investigation AI Agent for organizing case records at KPEX 2026

Cogniterm Inc. will take part in the 8th Korea Police World Expo 2026 (KPEX 2026), held at Songdo Convensia in Incheon from Wednesday, October 21 to Saturday, October 24. At the show, Cogniterm will introduce an investigation support AI agent built on DocuRAG, its document AI agent platform.
Founded in November 2021, Cogniterm focuses on applying AI to document work at public institutions and enterprises. DocuRAG supports search, summarization, review, and drafting grounded in an organization’s own work materials.
The featured product, the DocuRAG Investigation AI Agent, helps investigators quickly find and organize large volumes of case records, with integrated case record search, summaries of interview records and transcripts, checks for inconsistencies between statements, and timeline building. Every answer cites the source text so staff can verify it and make their own judgment.
The agent is designed to make records that were previously hard to use with AI usable. Interview records, scans, and images are converted to text with AI OCR, interview recordings are transcribed with speaker-separated speech-to-text (STT), and personal and sensitive information is detected and pseudonymized before the data is used for AI work. The same person is always replaced with the same pseudonym, so relationships within a case can still be analyzed after personal information is masked. The agent supports on-premises and closed network deployment and, where an organization’s network and security policies allow, can connect to approved external AI models. It can also be extended to administrative investigations and audits.
According to the article, Cogniterm’s revenue grew from KRW 501 million in 2023 and KRW 632 million in 2024 to KRW 857 million in 2025, up 36% year on year. The company supplied its solution to the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) AI-ONE platform project and has built AI for administrative appeals work at the Tax Tribunal and for local tax legislation work at the Korea Institute of Local Finance (KILF).
At KPEX 2026, Cogniterm is targeting practitioners at investigative agencies and administrative investigation and audit bodies. Its booth will demonstrate, on live screens, how documents are digitized with AI OCR and how personal and sensitive information in the records is detected and de-identified. The company also plans to meet overseas police organizations and buyers to explore potential partners abroad.
A company representative said Cogniterm has so far worked mainly with Korean central government ministries, public institutions, and enterprises, and is now considering Japan and English-speaking countries such as the United States as target markets, since public and investigative agencies there handle large volumes of documents and interview recordings and have strict privacy requirements. The representative described KPEX 2026 as an opportunity to present the AI OCR and de-identification technology that makes investigation records usable for AI, adding that Cogniterm plans to expand from its Korean National Police Agency deployment to other investigative, administrative investigation, and audit bodies in Korea, and to find local partner candidates and run pilots in Japan and English-speaking countries.
Co-hosted by the Korean National Police Agency and Incheon Metropolitan City, KPEX 2026 is a B2B exhibition of advanced policing, security, and safety technology and products, with business programs such as seminars, product evaluations, and public procurement and export consultations.
